Buzz/Grind your own almonds to make almond flour and save a bundle!!!

I'm all about saving a dollar whenever I can. The almond flour I bought from netrition was like 10 oz for $7 or $8  I think.....can't remember exactly. Anyway, it was ridiculous in price! Jan told me that netrition is actually cheaper than other suppliers which really blew my mind! Don't know why I didn't think of it sooner, but it just occured to me to buy a large bag of almonds from Sams Club. I think it's like $13 for a 48 ounce bag. Put them in your magic bullet or tribest blender (they are the same but just different manufacturers), and buzz/grind for all of 5 seconds and you will have almond flour at a fraction of the price you will pay for those tiny little 10 oz. bags!!!

Paula you are SO smart!  I think the worst I ever paid was at Publix...$11.19 for 1 pound.  Ugh.   Also, thanks to Umpa, I found out that the unblanched has less carbs.

Just trying to be resourceful and a good steward Jan. Hopefully it will help others do the same. I got my magic bullet off  eBay and I got my Tribest blender from www.breadbeckers.com  Great kitchen appliances to have regardless of FTS! I use them ALL the time for grinding, mixing, and blending. They are small, compact...don't take up any space to speak of, and most of all very easy to clean. I could do a commercial for these handy dandy little gadgets! LOL!

I haven't logged on in a while. Sorry umpa. Thanks Tony for supplying the info. on the magic bullet! I love mine!  I really do use it all the time. Nice little compact appliance to have sitting on my kitchen countertop!
