I completely understand.  I am glad the weekend is over and hubby headed back to work.  He's constantly hungry and and can eat anything he wants.  That causes me to be more aware of the "other" foods I have in the house that I am trying not to eat.  He is also a big snacker.  That causes me to reach for those sugar alcohol treats that have caused me to stall this week.  A lot of mine is habit eating but when I'm hungry it's hard.  I've tried to explain that Doug's book says you should only eat when you are hungry even if it's 10 AM.  That's when I get hungry in the morning so when hubby is home his breakfast time is 7-8 AM which throws me off time wise and carb wise.  Good luck with the PMS Eliruthy! LOL :D
Look out Hawaii, I'm on my way!!

suzlyn454 my husband has been off all week and thank goodness is his returning to work today LOL ,

But he eats just to be eating he will wake up from a nap supper is cooked he will eat a handful of chips while he is getting his plate . If he sees it he eats it no matter if he is hungry or not .

I have been on long enough now that the bad food is not very appealing to me anymore thank goodness , eliruthy  I find if I am hungry if I eat something that has fat in it it will go away like a peice of cheese so crispy pepes in the microwave or handful of porkskins , and water

Try increasing your fibre and make sure you drink lots of water.  This will help to not feel hungry.  Go to the recipe board and make some Flax Foccoccia bread or something along that line.  This was a big help for me.

I have the same problem with hubs...... he thinks we should eat at regular times.  I'm never hungry when he is any more.  I tell him that if he was eating like I was he wouldn't get hungry all the time.  It's those sneaky carbs that are fuelling his cravings...LOL  Suz tell daddy that he needs to snack on what you can eat LOL  We just need to cook up some stuff when I get back from our trip  ;)  You are doing so great!!!  Love ya

ShihtzuMom1 and Jo those are great ideas and it sure helps me.....also I find if I grab a few nuts and then wait about 15 minutes my hunger is gone.  Lots and lots of water though  ;)

Yeah, the shakes help me because a lot of times it's something sweet I want. If you use a lot of ice and eat it with a spoon, it takes awhile to eat -- plus you get all the benefits of the water from the ice. PMS makes me more hungry than normal, which is probably what happened to me recently.

Fats and fiber are your friend when you experience these moments. The answer is always as simple as a slab of your favorite zero carb cheese an top of a GG Brancrisp and a big glass of water....works every time  ;)

Golden Flax Seed Flour used in the one minute muffin recipe will also "stick to your ribs"  ;)

HA! I was thinking the same exact thing, but didn't think it was my place to say so. ;) ;)

I'm pretty sure my recent graze-fest was from a combo of PMS and skipping my vitamins. Fiber and water are good and all, but it's another story when you find yourself holding a jar of peanut butter in one and hand and a spoon in the other. :D :D

I meant the fibre and water for when you truly feel like you are hungry.  If you are hungry there is a chance that you may stray.

If you are wanting something sweet, or missing an old favourite, that is another story.  I'm also a chocolate and peanut butter fan.  I put my "Just Peanuts" peanut butter and WF chocolate syrup over my Breyers CarbSmart ice cream, or have a Russell Stover SF peanut butter cup.  They usually take care of that need.
