Umpa's Chocolate cake in the FTS Sugar Free Bakery book ROCKS!!!

Hi Everyone

I just wanted to share before I set out for a two week vacation.  The hubs and I are headed to Sturgis SD to go for a little bike ride....LOL  I'm pretty sure I will be MIA for most or all of the time I am gone.  I will miss everyone!!    My son's wedding was beautiful!!  I made Umpa's chocolate cake and added a cream cheese icing so that I could enjoy a piece of cake and not feel bad (or sick) after eating the full sugar one.  My mother, a good friend and I all worked hard making the actual wedding cake............ I was beginning to feel like all that sugar was soaking into my skin though!!    LOL  Here is a picture of both cakes....The FTS chocolate cake was so good!!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and I wish you all a great week ahead!!!

Beautiful cakes.  Looking at them you wouldn't know that one is a FTS cake.  Looks delish!!!  You should go into business LOL.

Thanks Jo.... and Suz we are really thinking about that.  Maybe a few a month.... what ever we could handle.  ( a little pocket change and girl time  )  I think it would be fun...LOL  Sorry I didn't get that piece over to you, might be able to yet if we get back from moving Paige in early enough....geez so much to do.  If not we will bake one when I get back

I had a ton of fun helping bake those cakes!  The actual wedding cake was a lot of work, but well worth the effort.  Toosweet, I and her friend Mary worked very hard.  It was so funny when several guests wanted to commision us to make cakes for them (and we're not in business at all).  I think Toosweet and her friend could do it though.  Toosweet did a fabulus job on the FTS cake as well.  It was delicious.  We even took FTS cake in the camper with us all the way back through Kansas.  They dropped me off in Kansas City to pick up my car and then they went on to Sturgis.  I just love to cook and bake.  FTS has given me more than one new challenge in my life.
