Health question
« on: August 17, 2011, 10:45:47 AM »
I have been having some discomfort in the opening of my stomach and was wondering if that may be stress related.. The first thing that always comes to mind is cancer...

its not a burning feeling and actually, I dont even know how to describe it.. it feels like when you are nervous about something and you get that knot feeling, well that's as close as I can come to describing it...
Alex

Hi Alex! :)

Stress can cause all manner of pains, discomforts, illnesses, etc..
In fact, it's one of the leading causes of shortened lifespans.

How long have you felt this discomfort?
I hope you're not describing a constant chest pain.
The opening of the stomach (on our chests) is close to the location of our hearts.

If it continues much longer or gets any worse, call 911 right away!

I'm very concerned for you, Alex.
What you do today is what matters!

Hi Tony,

Its not the chest area, its definitely the opening of my stomach, Ive even lost my appetite... I made an appt with my primary for tomorrow night (my primary is open till 11pm, they have rotating shifts).. I would go today but I have the kids vaccination tonight and I am sure its not my heart..

I'm happy to hear that, Alex! :) :) :) :) :) :)
But please pay close attention for any changes.

A number of years ago, I lost a friend who thought she only had heartburn.
