Cabbage & Califlower

I dont know if yall have had these 2 things this way but I thought I would tell you what I do . It is my 2 favorite sides and it is easy !!

1 bag of shredded cabbage  9 Carbs
Bacon grease
Real Bacon bits  2 Tbls         1 carb
salt & pepper to taste

I put the grease and bacon bits in  a large pan when it starts to sizzle I pour the cabbage in and just move it around for a few minuites I like mine kinda crisp . Man oh man it is good makes 2,3,4 servings.

1 bag frozen cauliflower  10 carbs
1/4-1/2 cup Parmasean cheese
Butter

I cook the cauliflower in the microwave for about 6 minuites or until just cooked (no mushy ). Then I drain I have my butter getting warm in the pan I put the cauliflower in and let it get little brown all over then I pour in the cheese and mix well and the cheese kinda gets crunchy on the cauliflower if you need more butter just throw some in .   2,3,4, servings

Let me know if yall try it

My family is Hungarian.  I grew up smelling cabbage and noodles but never liked it as a kid.  In tried just fried cabbage with oil and fresh cracked pepper...I was missing out as a kid!  Love it and it is just great without noodles. :D

Beth, our taste buds change as we age.  There are foods that I would have NEVER tried as a kid or teenager but absolutely love today.  Asparagus, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli are a short example.  Glad to know you have found something new to eat LOL.  Don't be like my dad (80 yrs) and never eat broccoli, just because he didn't like it as a kid  ::)
