CAULIFLOWER POPCORN
« on: September 28, 2011, 06:29:27 PM »
1 HEAD CAULIFLOWER     3T. OLIVE OIL       2t. SALT OR MRS DASH
PREHEAT OVEN TO 425.   CUT OUT & DISCARD CAULIFLOWER CORE AND STEMS.  TRIM REMAINING CAULIFLOWER INTO FLORETS, ABOUT THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS.   IN A LARGE BOWL ADD CAULIFLOWER, OLIVE OIL AND SALT AND TOSS TO COAT THOROUGHLY.   SPREAD CAULIFLOWER OUT ON A BAKING SHEET COVERED IN PARCHMENT PAPER FOR EASY CLEANUP.   ROAST FOR ONE HOUR OR UNTIL MUCH OF EACH FLORET HAS BECOME GOLDEN BROWN.  THAT'S THE CARAMELIZATION PROCESS, THE BROWNER THEY ARE THE SWEETER THEY WILL TASTE.   TURN THEM 3 OR 4 TIMES DURING ROASTING.   SERVE IMMEDIATELY
With God all things are possible
