A friend of mine :)
« on: October 07, 2011, 10:38:59 AM »
Two weeks FTS and 14.5 pounds down!!!! :o :o :o  She's doing AWESOME!  As for me, I'm still losing but a bit slower but I am ok with that!  I'm still trying to mentally realize how much I have LOST and what sizes I can fit into---my brain hasn't caught up yet!!!  I'm hoping my last 15 pounds comes off my lower abdomen and my THIGHS that I gained with my last pregnancy! I've never had thigh fat before then!  I have a feeling it's going to be hard to get rid of!!!!

Hi eliruthy! :)

I remember reading somewhere that our bodies first burn more of the FAT that's around our internal organs.
As we continue to lose, proportionately more FAT is lost around our outer portions (i.e. flab).

Try envisioning the way you want your body to look when you reach your goal.
If you focus on the goal, it will be much easier for you to reach! ;)
What you do today is what matters!

Thank you ;D  I could be doing better but I have admittedly slacked off a TAD, but that tad is causing an extreme slow down in my weight loss. ::)  I have literally been eating 99% on plan but travel, events, etc etc I have went for that bite of whatever I'm not supposed to!  I have not gained, so I am happy.

An update on my friend:  She's now 18 pounds down :o  She's "FREAKED OUT" about the whole thing LOL...but I told her to ENJOY it b/c she will slow down!  She's also down TWO sizes.  She's VERY happy!!!!!!  I haven't seen her since she was about 8 pounds down! Can't wait!

As for me, just taking it day by day.  I haven't had a chance to re-read the book but I do have it back!  I will pick up the pace next week probably, maybe get to re-read the book this weekend for motivation/reminders.  Otherwise, rockin ;)

Hi eliruthy! :)

I'm very happy to hear that your friend is doing so well.
You truly blessed her when you pointed her to FTS.

We would all love to wake up tomorrow morning to find that we reached our loss goals.
But we live in the real world. So we must be real with our expectations, lest we set ourselves up for disappointment.

When you reread the book, you should notice something... You are doing FTS the way it was intended... One day at a time.
Like any other journey, we take it one step (and day) at a time. Sooner or later, we'll arrive at our destinations. :)
What you do today is what matters!
