Finally back on track after a slight detour!!!
« on: October 17, 2011, 03:57:13 PM »
Well----my Mom won't stop making home made apple pies :'(  I have been eating on plan but not enough to keep LOSING.  The other day was my last straw when i saw I gained back THREE pounds :o from eating stuff I shouldn't be eating.  I have been discouraged lately b/c of not being able to get out of this pound area I am in---basically been here for going on two months and not dropping down to the next 10's.  I know who's fault it is LOL, and I've been TRYING to correct it, but my willpower is ZILCH lately.  Anyhoo, today is day two of NO CHEATING.  I weighed myself this morning and have already went down 1.5 pounds so that makes me happy!  Overall, I'm still SUPER DUPER happy with my loss, my pant size especially, and everything else.  I just need to find the motivation to exercise more, cheat less, and above all else, get down to the next 10's and get to where I need to be!!!!!

Less than 3 pounds and you will be at a 30 pound loss.  That is excellent!  You can do it!

I agree!!!... You CAN do it, eliruthy!!! :) :) :) :) :)

Tell your mom you love her and appreciate her gestures to gift you with foods she believes you'll enjoy.
But that you NEED her support. And to stop making those pies for you!

I realize your mom doesn't understand... But you do.
Let her know that the weight you've lost so far has come from avoiding carb-filled pies, cakes, cookies, etc..
So help her understand by explaining this to her in a way you know she'll understand.

You and I are moving slowly but surely toward our weight goals.
Follow the FTS rules, and you'll get there sooner rather than later. ;)
What you do today is what matters!

So glad you are getting back on track!  I agree with Tony about telling your Mom that you appreciate the gesture, but the pies gotta GO.   Loved Umpa's comment  :D  :D  :D

I know LOL!!!!!!!  I'm still rocking.  I am still having excessive hunger the last couple days tho!  Dunno why.  I'm eating EXTRA FTS approved foods etc, but I find myself eating dinner EARLIER cuz i'm HUNGRY!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean.  Normally, after lunch, I have to make myself eat supper (at least a little protein).  Today was different and I think the diet rite tangerine soda was the culprit.  I was so hungry around 3:00 this afternoon and that was not good.  I will not drink the diet rite again!!!

You're correct eliruthy! :) :) :)

Since we never know exactly when we may feel hungry, we should always keep zero (or very low) carb snack foods handy.

If your following all the FTS rules and still feel hungry, try eating more protein  during the day.
It metabolizes slowly and wards off hunger for a long time. ;)

As you progress along your FTS journey, you'll find that your body's food needs (when and/or how much) will change.
My wife finds that at a certain time of the month, she'll feel more hungry than others.
Eating high protein snacks seems to deal with it.
What you do today is what matters!

That afternoon midday snack is important to keep your dinner schedule and portions on track. Jerky, deli roll ups, string cheese, or combination with a piece of GG are wise choices. Make sure to include a big glass of water in the mix. The last thing I want you to be is hungry  ;)

Good news :)  As of yesterday or the day before (i'm too tired to remember lol) my EXTREME hunger ended! FINALLY!  Now i'm more like before where I'm not hungry :)))))))))))  Lovin' it!  Oh, and I've lost all the 3.6 pounds I gained eating CRAP I shouldn't have been eating!  I'm just OUNCES from the next set of 10's....But, since I haven't seen them yet, even ONCE, I don't know if my body will do it LOL!  As of today, I am the same exact weight as yesterday.  My body tends to stay the same for a few days then lose (or gain!)  Can't wait!

Hi eliruthy! :)

It sounds like you just went through "sugar detox" again.
Cravings and a false sense of hunger are common to detox.

Anyway... I'm glad that's behind you!
Just stick to the FTS rules and you'll do wonderfully.

What you do today is what matters!
