okay call me strange

LOL because I am.  I had a bottle of Heinz SF Ketchup that had only 2-3 tablespoons left.  I didn't want to throw it out or "water" it down.  So I took some Waldens Farms SF Spicy BBQ sauce and poured into the ketchup.  It probably worked out to a 3 to 1 ratio.  After shaking the bottle it mixed well, which lowers the carbs from the ketchup and thickened the BBQ sauce at the same time.  It has a great flavor.  Just a way to "use the last drop".

Today when I was getting a hunger pain for lunch I took a can of the 0 carb chicken vienna sausages, topped them with 0 carb sauerkraut and used some of my sauce above on top.  Was pretty darn good.

Thank for the tip, Suz! :) :) :)

I've been looking for a good way to thicken up Walden's BBQ Sauce without adding a bunch of carbs.
I've tried guar gum. But didn't like the consistency.

Just to verify, the 3 to 1 is 3 parts BBQ sauce and 1 part SF ketchup.
Is that true?

Thanks! ;)

Yes Tony, that's right.  At least 3 T of WF BBQ to 1 T of SF ketchup.  Of course, you can experiment..add more or less until you find one that suits you!  :D

PS  Sometimes I add 1 T of SF Honey 17 carbs less 17 sugar alcohols is 0 carbs

I might mention that sometimes I add a Tablespoon of 0 carb mustard along with the SF Ketchup (this kind of thickens the WF BBQ sauce also) and really doesn't affect the flavor that much.

I wonder if we add the sugar free honey to the wf BBQ sauce if it would thicken it and give a good honey BBQ flavor.....  Hmmm.     Have to try it and see....
