Tips for continued success???
« on: October 26, 2011, 01:12:34 PM »
Hi all :)   I've decided it is now time to buckle down and start toning up and getting my body in shape for FLU SEASON!!!  So, yesterday was day 1.  I did a hard 15 minutes on the treadmill...ran some, walked inclined some, then about 15 mins of free weights.  Didn't get near 20 carbs, never cheated and drank extra water.....today, gained a pound LOL!   :o  I know it's muscle probably, BUT, eating wise...should I change anything?  Should I eat MORE protein/more carbs than normal but keeping it under 20 still?  Should I eat more OFTEN...my norm is breakfast, LATE lunch, lateish dinner and maybe a piece of sugar free candy if I have any one day.  I just love it when the scale goes DOWN not up LOL.

My history has been when I "overworked" my body I would retain water.  Extra physical activity cleaning house or working in the yard or just being tired slows down my losses.  You had extra physical activity and added water to the mix so.... would guess some of that would be water retention....IMHO.  I wouldn't change anything for a couple days and see what happens.

Your muscles need water and protein to recover. They literally tear and seal back together and thats what makes muscle bulk.Lean protein and a minimum of your weight in ounces of water. You are so motivated and that is wicked cool! :)
