FTS Faux Chicken and Dumplins
« on: October 31, 2011, 07:30:43 AM »
1 shredded rotissierie chicken  0 carbs
1 cup of cream of chicken    18 carbs
4 One minute Golden Flax muffin    5 carbs  (cooked already)  You can cut them in half or 45 squares
1 1/2 cup Collage chicken broth  0 carbs

mix all together and simmer for an hr
you shouldnt put in the OMM until there is about 20 minutes left in the simmering part

23 carbs for the entire recipes and I got 10 cup servings which makes it 2.3 carbs per serving..

Enjoy

Sounds delicious :) you could go a step further by replacing the cream of chicken with heavy cream mixed with a teaspoon of  "better than bouillon" chicken base and that reduces the carb count to 1 for the bouillon. If you need it thicker add a 1/4 teaspoon of xantham gum ;)

That 18 carbs for the cream of chicken probably could be replaced by mixing heavy whipping cream with chicken stock  and adding a thickener :) Alex. What do you think toosweet?

I think so to..... this sounds really yummy.  A bit different from my usual recipe.   I've been waiting for the cold months to try it out... I guess I don't have to wait any longer!!   It's cold here already  ;)  When I test it out I'll post the recipe if it comes out.

I will try this one for sure though Alex.... thanks    Who doesn't love cold weather comfort food  ;D
