Hi Donna and welcome to the forum!!
I started on FTS on 09/10/10. I had previously lost 24 pounds by counting calories (ugh) then Owensmath (another precious FTS member) told me about Doug's book. I read the book, gave it a try, lost 10 pounds the first week, and I was hooked for life!
I have never really fell off the wagon, but some days I have gone over the 20 carbs. I am sure I would have lost even more this past year if I had always ate 20 or less. I am tall at 5' 10", and at my largest I was 376 pounds. I now weigh 274.8. I plan to lose another 50-100 more pounds. I just plan to keep going til it feels right for me.
I didn't exercise at all until I had lost 90 pounds. Back in August, I started walking 2 miles a day, and I am loving that! I sure hope you have checked alot of the other FTS members and seen their success!! The people here are wonderful and their support keeps me going!! Best of luck to you!
