Feel like a total loser...and NOT the way I wanna be! :(
« on: November 10, 2011, 12:04:49 PM »
Hello,
It's me again! I just seem like I keep getting lost! This year has just been a tough one :/ Between getting a new job, making my house livable, a crazy teen, a crazier pre-teen, moving my special needs brother in, losing a relationship, and unreliable internet; I'm feeling a bit dazed. I'm also GAINING weight back, because, well, honestly: I just haven't gotten back into the Habit of eating FTS. :( I'm now UP at least 20 pounds, and boy am I feeling physically rotten :(

It is just a big ugly cycle full of EXCUSES. I live in a very small (pop. 1726 as a fact) town, and the products I need have been hard to come by. At times, I convince myself they are hard to the point of impossible..which is simply not true! I have been on a VERY tight budget, so this also plays a factor. In all honesty, the products would not be so expensive, if I made everyone in the house eat them..but I'm not the only one bringing food into the house ~sigh~

Please forive me for venting my frustrations, I KNOW this is all my own doing, and I only have myself to blame. Working at a grocery store now is amazingly tempting! lol But also enlightening, I am shocked by the amount of carbs people push into their mouths! I am also a bit relieved, that I'm not that bad anymore, but also made aware of how much I need to get rid of..if THAT makes any sense lol

There is ZERO reason to not use the tools I have at hand to do this and do it RIGHT...right??
With my previous experience, my medical knowledge, and MOST importantly my FTS Family Online, I CAN do this..I hope!

SO! now I turn to you once again FTS family: Please, what are your suggestions to jump-start this kid back onto FTS, and keep it GOING??? I am halfway to my goal, I lost the first half in 2 1/2 MONTHS so, taking over a YEAR to lose the rest is just darned ridiculous I say!

God Bless you all, and thanks for the support, and understanding :) <3

Hi Zombiegirl! :)

It's been quite a while. But it's nice to hear from you again. :)

Like Doug said, you know exactly what you need to do.
And like you said, you have all the support you'll ever need right here with your FTS family.

So today, God has given you (and the rest of us) another chance.
Make good use of it!

Start over, and stick to the FTS rules.
And rest assured, we're right here rooting for you!

Tony
What you do today is what matters!

zombiegirl74  I just reread the FTS book the poor thing is falling apart , I think the that the best thing to do is start over just like we did at the beginning . Like it is the first day on FTS !!!

I think eating easy & clean a meat & veggies . All these delish replacements is what cost more .  PLus when they are delish we might eat a little more plus getting hidden carbs .
I know that everything has gone up but I know when I started FTS I ate alot of eggs ,lettuce ,cauliflower & broccoli (frozen ) . Meats that were on sale . I have started new again today so lets do this together zombiegirl74 . Because this way of eating just makes you feel better plain & simple !!

Hey Zombiegirl!  You are totally NOT alone!!  We are all here walking on this same journey with you!  I can see that you have been given some GREAT advice!  Not sure if you have a Kroger Grocery store, but they usually have bags of frozen cauliflower for $1.  Mashed cauliflower is my new comfort food for the cold winter days!  I really LOVE it, and it's cheap!   I use alot of the golden flaxseed too.  I am addicted to the one minute muffin.  There's all sorts of ways to make it, and it's really filling!

The awesome thing about FTS is that you can restart at any time!  You can re-lose that weight so fast, and you already know how to do it!  Lean of us, we are always here for YOU!!!   ;)

Zombiegirl....you have already received advise from the best of the best.  Stop beating yourself up now, what's done is done.  Add me to your cheering section because we're all out here with pom pom's waving.

Good Cheer

The best thing about FTS is no guilt.  Guilt will short circuit your efforts to stick to it and/or start over.  Tomorrow is another day girlfriend.  Just start over and do your best and no guilt trips.  Quite understandable that with all that is going on that you might slip up some but don't use those things as excuses.  Not eating FTS when in stressful situations makes you feel worse. You can eat FTS on a budget...skip the bread, low sugar condiments, sugar free options that I know all grocery stores must have.  Veggies, low carb berries and protein (hot dogs, hamburger, chicken, turkey, etc.). Just check your labels.
Peace and blessings,

IzzeT

Bless ALL of you! I am truly amazed by what a wonderful group of individuals you all are  :-* :-* :-*:) now I feel a bit silly for feeling so hopeless lol  ;)

I did pretty good yesterday, I had a horrible headache,  :-[ it's toned down some today.
I am drinking water when I am hungry instead of snacking on easily available junk food while at work. I bought some porkrinds to keep in the breakroom, and will buy some sunflower seeds as well.

Today, my sister and I are going shopping out of town so I can stock up on some almond milk, flaxseed meal, and some soy flour. going to give that rascally jicama another chance, try the "hashbrowns" lol I had a lovely breakfast of a turkey, cheese and tomato scramble with bacon and coffee, I am so stuffed, and still not hungry even though it's almost lunchitme here! YAY! so I'm feeling better already on day #2

I DID eat a lot of eggs when I did this previously, AND I am a hunter, and got blessed with being able to get both a nice big deer AND an elk this season!...no shortage of lean, organic meat here!! :D :D :D :D

A great BIG THANK YOU once again to all of you, I KNOW this works, and I'm glad to call you all my FTS Family :)

I feel the same way you do zombiegirl, I am struggling so much, fighting both physical health problems and stressful situations, running to foods for comfort, but finding none, just makes everything worse when I gain and feel miserable. Got up today determined that I will not quit and give up, so trying with all I can to get back on FTS faithfully. Keep me in your praeyer as I will  you.
With God all things are possible

Hi Kfaith, I know how food can be controlling...many of us do  :-\ I also know that once you make this a permanent change in your world it will be very easy to maintain and the dress sizes will go down and down and down pretty fast. The hard part is making the commitment, the easy part is our program.

You need to take drastic action in your environment, today you MUST remove ALL the foods and beverages in your home that are not FTS friendly. I don't want to here any excuses.  :-X

This is your time to save your own life and I'm certain the other members of your family will support your decisions if you make it clear t them how important it is to you to do this not only for yourself but for your family as well.

Once you've bullet proofed your house and stocked up on FTS friendly foods it's impossible to fail.  ;)

Marty you crack me up!!!   :D :D :D  If I have to go in the center isles in the store (where most of the carbs are) I try to walk real fast so they don't jump in my cart  ;D ;D  You are right....they are sneaky  ;)
