Beebs is right i like stevia in my drinks and xylitol for baking.Make sure you read labels Leese and buy 100% pure stevia or 100% pure xylitol .When you make your sweet tea put the sweetner in when it is hot so it will dissolve.I am from the south, love my sweet tea! ;D

can I get these items online?  The only sweetener I've really found readily available where I live is Splenda or wal-marts brand.  And, also anyone can give me an idea of the cost of these products so I can figure them into the budget  ;D

3Angels i have found xylitol and splenda to be about the same price.I pay about $6.75 a pound for xylitol 100% pure.I don't think when you buy the big bag of splenda it is a full pound, but i havent bought it in so long they may have changed it.Somebody please check your bag and get back to me and let me know the measurement of a big bag of splenda.

I have never seen xylitol and don't know where to buy it either.  Must be online?

yay I found a place that carries xylitol.  Also, looking it up in wikipedia found that it can help prevent tooth decay, possibly prevent bone decay, help fight ear and upper respiratory infections.  I'm so thankful for you telling me about this product.  Apparently with most sugar alcohols, a laxative effect may occur upon initial consumption.  But, compared to some things on the market that  is pretty easy to stomach.
