I love my daily walks!
My day is just not the same if I miss one.
What you do today is what matters!

That's great. I'm just doing the basic beginner routine for now, but I can certainly feel it in areas that weren't getting exercised on my TreadClimber or bike. My triceps feel it especially, which is good. So far, I'm really enjoying it. :)

Yeah, at least ones that didn't get used for awhile. Isn't that weird?

LOL -- I haven't been ice skating in years, but it's something I want to start doing. Everyone skates on ponds here, but sometimes you see the loonies skating on the lakes. I'm not that brave. And besides, winter seems to be skipping us this year. It's SOOO weird not to have snow!

BTW -- how often do you use your Total Gym? I tried upping my sets to 20 instead of 15 last night and it about killed me. I did okay, providing I took a quick rest after the first 10 reps. We have it set on level 3, which is probably too high, but I'm tall and level 2 didn't feel right.

Every other day.If I use it every day the leg exercises make my knees hurt.I adjust the level depending on the exercise I am doing.Sit ups would be 2 but leg exercises would be all the way up,so would arms.i am short at 5'2 so I don't know about the height issue.I try to get 30 minutes of exercise a day.Whether its my total gym, pulling my bows, riding my bicycle, treadmill,TaiChi,etc.I get bored easily so i like to change things up that way it doesn't feel like a chore. ;)

I don't know why but when I join a gym or a program I don't go.If I exercise at home I do it.I don't like the group workout thing. :)

I have considered joining a gym, but I think I would still feel too inhibited to exercise in front of folks.  In my mind, I'm afraid it would be all these skinny-minis in leotards (like in the 80's) and there I'd be in my sweat pants.  ha ha  Seriously, I think this is one reason I love walking at 6am at the college track.  It's still dark, and nobody can really see me.  There is one new gym near us called Anytime Fitness.  They give you your own key, and they are open 24 hours a day.  I probably still wouldn't go.  :D   I am hoping that by this time NEXT year I'll be much closer to my goal and hopefully get past my "fat girl" mentality.

I've never been into the gym thing either. I don't want to exercise in front of anyone. Hell, I even keep my TreadClimber in my washroom and my family knows not to go in there when I'm on it. I like the light off and my iPod LOUD -- ha!

I'm 46 and went to a gym for the very first time in my life this summer when we went to Disney World. I went to the one at the hotel we stayed at. The first time we went really late, so it was just me and Rick there. The second time I went alone (GASP!) around 7am and there were only a handful of diehards there (mostly men). The third time I went in the evening with Rick again and hardly anyone was in there. I think I could really get into the gym thing on trips like that. It's just a shame I can't afford to take them very often!  :D

Have you thought of a piece of exercise equipment for your house? :)
