I also got the new book.  Ran right out to Barnes and Noble first thing this morning.  I, too, borrowed my book out and have not gotten it back.  I am happy to let them have it, though, as it is such an inspiration and great guidebook.
I am excited to begin again.  I fell off the wagon and am under the wheels LOL.  I am starting again today.  I am re-reading the book and listening to the CD.  Happy New Year to everyone :)

Hi Suzy! :)

In any "lifestyle", life happens. We WILL do things outside of our expectations.

Never fault yourself for having human weaknesses. It's part of being "human".
But it's a good thing to look back on those so-called "slips" as learning opportunities.

Remember that FTS is a lifestyle and NOT a diet.
The cool part is that if you ever "fall off the wagon", you just get right back on an continue toward your goal.
What you do today is what matters!

I just received my new book too from Amazon...still have my first one which was returned to me. :D  It's so funny to see myself in a book. :o  Hubby had that honor, he's in a book "Ghosts of Virginia" Vol. 11, by Lloyd B. Taylor.  Now we both are published. lol

Thank you Doug and Umpa for this great honor.  Now people I know can see the proof is in the pudding (sugar free pudding that is). :D

I can't wait to listen to the CD and look over all the great new recipes. This is a pretty thick book!  I'm sure I gained a few pounds over the holidays as well but I refuse to get on the scale...my clothes are a better indicator and they still fit just not a loosely.  I realized that as soon as I use a scale it's starts a unhealthy chain reaction.  When I weighed 125lbs (early 20s) someone told me I was tiny so I got on the scale-I never thought about my weight or what size I wore until then.  Right after that I gained about 20lbs!  I do better not paying attention to the scale. ;)

Best wishes to everyone as we do Holiday Damage Control! lol
Peace and blessings,

IzzeT

I'm curious Izzet  In what capacity is he in it?  I love that type of book I just might have to give it a read  ;D

It's a story about his grandfather's favorite robe, "The Robe", pages 335-336. After he passed it suddenly showed up in an unlikely place out in the open so there is no way he could have missed it and nobody had been in the shed but him.  It's pretty interesting.  His name is Sean Turlington but Lloyd mispelled his last name. lol  We actually have met Lloyd at a Festival here in VA.  Nice man.
Peace and blessings,
