Any ideas?
« on: January 08, 2012, 05:25:13 PM »
I just purchased and read the book”fat to skinny fast and easy". I have been going to a weight loss center since October and this is exactly the program they have (Mediweight lossclinics.com). It is not hard to stick to as I like protein foods BUT the weight is not falling off of me as  described. Since October I have only lost about 18.5 lbs. it is agonizing as I am paying for this service (80 bucks a trip-once a week) and it is so discouraging. The physician in charge had my blood tested to see if I had a problem but everything came back o.k. is it possible I am just eating too many calories with the meat? Have you ever run into this before? They do not push exercise but I try to walk 2-3 x a week for 30 minutes. Also we are required to drink 64 oz or more of water. Does anyone have any suggestions for me or have had limited success such as me.  As I said, this is working, but at this rate it will take me years to get to my target weight. I would appreciate any help anyone can give!! Thanks! ohiogirl

Everyone lose at their own pace not everyone loses a pound a day it has took a year for me to lose 40 pounds . If you look at everyones weight ticker you will see how everone is different .

18 pounds in 3 months is not slow . You need to quit paying and just go by the book . Your body will lose when it is ready .

Took the words right out of my mouth Jo!  You are losing an average of 1.5lbs per week!  That's is a really good, healthy rate of loss!  You may want to lose a pound a day or something, but really that's not realistic for most people.  I lost about 1lb per week so far, and I think my last 25lbs may take a bit longer just because I've been slowing down some.  As long as the numbers are going down, even if it's .1lb at a time, it's still going the right direction!
Don't stop what you're doing - it IS working for you!  I do agree with Jo though - I wouldn't pay $80 a week when you can do it by yourself!

Hi..Welcome!!!!

Do they say to stay under 20 carbs a day? Do you mind sharing what a day's menu looks like? Maybe that way we can see if their is something that may be slowing you down..

Amen to everything everyone has said so far..... $4160 is a lot to pay in a year compaired to the price you paid for the fat to skinny book.   Plus all the love and support you find here is free  ;) ;)  Save that money for a fabulous vacation when you get to your goal...LOL

Like Alex said if you post what a couple of days of what you are eating (everything that passes your lips  ;))  We might see something that is tripping you up.

Welcome to the FTS family  ;D

Hi Ohiogirl and welcome to the family!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

You have received some great advice by your FTS-family... Save your money!!!

And Jo is right... Don't get overly concerned about how fast you losing your excess weight.
We all lose at different rates.

Jo and I are among the slow ones (i.e. the turtles) in the family.
But still love this way of eating and living. ;D
FTS is so enjoyable, and the food is so good... It's a plan that anyone should be able to enjoy for life.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your FTS journey!

Tony
