That's our goal... to get smaller!
Our bodies seem to have their own "ideas" about how to get there.
As long as we get there, who cares? ;)

I also did the medi diet with pills, shots etc. I was misrible and hungry and when I ran out of the 80 dollars a week I gained even more weight back. FTS seems like it makes more sense. Pills are not the answer and starving wasnt either

Hi Marty! :)

Coffee should have no effect on your weight loss one way or the other.

There has been considerable debate about it on this forum.
And after much research, we've determined that coffee (alone) has no hidden usable carbs.
But be careful with what you add to it.

And like all things, coffee should be enjoyed in moderation.

Thanks, Tony! The hidden carb website said there is 1 carb per cup of coffee. If that's the case, it would put meover the limit. But i'm going to cut back to 1 or 2 cups per day and see what happens. Sometimes I need to just give up one thing at a time to keep the stress level down. I've been drinking too much coffee, so it's time. :D

Hi Marty! :)

Like I said, too much of anything is not good.

Since I started FTS, I drink no more than 3 to 4 cups of coffee a day MAX.
Too much, and the caffeine gets to my nerves and messes with my sleep.
Not sleeping well can cause "false hunger" and cravings.

I have never heard that before Tony.  Wow  No wonder I seem to eat when I'm really not hungry...LOL  I have been an insomniac for as long as I can remember...LOL

Thank everyone for all of the replies!! I have stopped going to the diet center and am saving my money for new clothes once I get to a size I can look forward to shopping again. My typical day is 1 egg, 2 sausage, salad with balsamic dressing and chicken or shrimp, some sort of meat-chicken, fish, burger for dinner with cottage cheese. sugar free jello with cool whip for a snack. I get 2-3 bottles of water in + 2 cups of coffee with 1/2 and 1/2 and truvia. I think the problem  may be my snacks. when i am hungry (usually 10:00-10:30) I eat summer sausage & melted cheese-sometimes as many as 8 slices. I am wondering if I am just consuming too many calories. Meat has a lot of calories in it. Has anyone else run into this? Again, THANKS so much for the support. I have been checking in and finding no replies to my 1st post. Of course, I was doing it wrong.

I didn't see your original post, Ohiogirl! Sorry!

I had to get off all sweeteners and processed meats to get the scale moving. But even when they are at a standstill my body is shedding inches or wrinkles or something.

There aren't very many vegetables in that list and, assuming you are drinking 16 ounce bottles of water, your 2 - 3 bottles aren't getting you to the recommended minimum of 64 ounces.  If you try snacking on a Brancrisp and a piece of cheese instead of the summer sausage, you'll fell full and add some fiber.

It's looks like you've made a really good start.  I think it is fun to see how you can vary and refine your meal plans.  Good luck!

Oh, TooSweet, you are too funny! Should I have said 'saggy skin'? You're young enough that you should have enough elasticity in your skin so yours won't sag so much as you get skinny. I'm getting older and have to think twice about it! I hope I don't have saggy knees and elbows when I'm done! I chant: tighten up, tighten up! and pinch my skin to see how loose it is!
