Hi Alex! :)

I don't see anything that would account for a four pound gain.

It could be water retention.
Some prepackaged foods are high in sodium.

BTW, as we lose weight, our weight will go down and up. Sometimes, sharply within a day's time.
I would not be too concerned about this gain unless it does not come back off in a week or so.

Remember, it's the long term downward weight trend that matters. ;)
What you do today is what matters!

Well, I see that people are reading this and no comments, so I'll give a comment even though I have no answers. I so sympathize with your frustration! I wish I had some words of wisdom for you. All I can say is "hang in there!" Maybe some variety would shake up your system. :-*

50 ounces of water seems a bit light.  I've always heard that 8 ounces a day plus 8 ounces per cup of caffeinated beverage is the minimum.  It seems backwards, but not enough water can cause your body to retain water.  The theory is that your body holds on to all the water it can because it doesn't know if there will be enough.  There have been times I've used more water to jump start loss.

Hi Alex   I'm with Tony    I don't see where you have gone wrong with your intake.  It probably is water retention.  I would venture to guess it will disappear just as quickly as it appeared.  I did a gain of 3 lbs last week and within a few days it was gone.  Hang in there you are doing great  ;)

It has to be water retention.. Maybe like Tony said, the sodium. I probably drink more water than I show, but I only list what I know for sure...
Thanks guys..

BTW what makes even weirder is that I feel inches coming off.. lol..

Hi Jo! :)

I don't have a daily calorie goal or pay much attention to them.
But, I just so happen to eat around 2500 a day.

Interestingly, I found that 2500 is the number of calories recommended for me at my goal weight given my age, body type, and activity level.
But I've had weeks where I'd eat many more and lose pounds.
And other weeks with many less and stall out.

This is further evidence that the science behind FTS is solid.
It's not the calories... It's the carbs and portions!
What you do today is what matters!

Water retention or muscle building.  Muscle weighs more than fat.  Working out lately? ;)

Probably gross....but relevant .... I find that when I am not "regular," my weight stalls. It just piles up inside and I am full of it I think.

I think sometimes our bodies just adjust, we also just went through a full moon Alex which seems to effect our weight.
