using splenda

On your CD you warn that Splenda has hidden carbs.  So, can we use Crystal lite without worrying about carbs?

Welcome dowensrdu!!   Congrats on the 15 lbs!!!   As far as I know the crystal light is ok but some do have 1 carb listed.  If you aren't careful it could add up  ;)

I buy a crystal light with added fibre (i think its raspberry peach?) it has 3 carbs but also 3 g of fibre = 0 net carbs

Also I found a "no name" brand of splenda that has 0 carbs!!

Hi ES15 I just wanted to warn you to be very careful, the splenda and most look alikes you find in the stores actually have carbs.  For instance the splenda you find in the bag to cook with actually has 24 carbs per cup.   ;)  The calories and carbohydrates come from the dextrose and/or maltodextrin, which are added for bulk.   :-\  If I remember right Doug suggests to count each packet as 1 carb

You are correct toosweet.The carbs are in the malodextrin.No malodextrin= no carbs.Thats why the liquid succralose(splenda) is a zero carb product no malodextrin. ;) The malodextrin adds bulk and makes it pourable like sugar. I drink crystal because I don't drink alot of soda water.They are great to put in your purse when out and about too. ;)

Me too Umpa.... here is a fun hint for everyone...LOL  discovered by mystake.  Add your crystal light package to carbonated water instead of regular tap water when you want a soda.   The MiO water enhancers work great also.  I love the pink lemon aide yummmm  ;)

I use it sparingly so it lasts me several weeks.
