You will love the One Minute Muffin.  If you make a double batch and put in a larger plastic bowl I microwave for 2 minutes and 65 seconds and it is perfect for 2 people or 2 servings.  I use NOW Almond Flour instead of Flax.  It also make a great toast.

Some folks don't like the taste of the flax sweeties, and to it will give you a different texture and taste.  I mix and match depending on what I am trying to make or even what I have on hand  ;)

I'm with everyone here I love the golden flax as well and usually grab for it first.  It's just all around healthy with the fiber and omegas.   It's also 0 carb compaired to a few carbs you get with the almond meal.

Thank you so much for asking about this recipe ES15!  I am so excited to try this now...

ladyluck - I think brown flax seeds have a little more omega 3s than the golden but I think they are the same otherwise...except for taste apparently (judging from our FTS family). :)  I am making a golden flaxseed OMM tomorrow and I will let you know! :)

Golden flax has a milder flavor.

Consistency.Golden flax has the consistency of fine cornmeal and similar taste.Brown flax is the just normal flaxseed flour. Totally different taste. All have to be heated for the omegas to be released.Play with the flours.Regular flaxseed (brown)  and chocolate go together like peanut butter and jelly ;)

I prefer goldenflax for things like muffins, breads, and cakes. Regular flax is great for those too, but I especially like that one for pancakes. They remind me of buckwheat pancakes. Regular flax is generally a little cheaper too.
