yummmm...that sounds really good.  I would start with Polaner SF Grape Jelly (1 net carb for 1 Tbl) and Cholula hot sauce and chili powder.  Since I haven't made these not sure where to begin but would love Umpa's input here.

found this on search...looks pretty good

Umpa,
The jelly and chili sauce make a sauce for the meatballs.  They aren't mixed in with the meat.  This recipe has been around since the '70s at least.

I do remember these from my college days in the early 70's.
They were often served at parties along with chips, dips, and lots of beer!

Tony,
I think we are both members of the class of '70.  Who knew they'd be the good ol' days?  College in the era of hippies and the Vietnam War was a challenge.

Hi Andrea! :)

Actually, I was in the class of '75.
At my campus, there were a number of streakers and bra burners.
It's all rather funny looking back at it! :D

I'll go on record as being a lifelong brunette with the gray slowly taking over.

I finally finished college in '77 but graduated from high school in '70.

Oh my!... I distinctly remember that song and video coming out when I was a college Junior in 1974.

And I agree Shawn, Ray Stevens was ahead of his time as a comedic genius.
He's also very talented as a musician and writer.
Ray's one of my all time favorites!!! ;D ;D ;D
