Sugar free syrup question
« on: March 02, 2012, 08:50:41 AM »
Ok so there are a million brands of sugar free syrups, so what are everyone's favorites? Any favors to stay away from? I'm worried about the weird after taste that some can leave and I'd rather not waste a lot of money!! Thanks guys!

I just tried my first pancake syrup and was amazed. The Walden's Farms Pancake Syrup tasted just like what I remember Aunt Jamima Butter syrup tasting like. Even my teenager loved it and he's only been doing FTS for two weeks. Good stuff!

Good to know!!! I have also been looking at some of the DaVinci syrups for coffee flavoring. I love Baileys or Kahlua in my coffee every once in awhile, and can't do that anymore. Crazy carbs in both!!! BUT they have a Kahlua syrup. Might be worth a try!

I just bought the DaVinci SF Kahlua syrup @ Sam's Club.(Sam's has a lot of SF flavors) Haven't tried it in coffee yet but I did add some to my chocolate OMM last night. Gave it a new twist of flavor  . . .Yummy!

I love the Davinci and Torani syrups.  To me they don't have a after taste at all.   Some of the flavors may not be exact though.  For instance the Kahlua that you mentioned.  It is good don't get me wrong, and I like it.  To me it's not as close to the real thing.  I have a cabinet devoted just for all the bottles...LOL   Hmmm maybe I should just get a wine rack for them  ::)

SherriPie you are right...... the Walden farms Pancake Syrup is very good.  Best of all it is 0 everything  ;D  Have you tried the blueberry?

I like the Walden Farms maple syrup. WFs also makes a blueberry and strawberry syrup. Both are good.

For coffee, I use a sugar-free brand called Pasano. I have some English Toffee right now, which is really good.

TooSweet your idea of a wine rack for the syrup bottles would be too cool.  It would give me another shelf back in my pantry LOL
Look out Hawaii, I'm on my way!!

I haven't posted a link before so I hope this is right.  It's a recipe for low carb "Bailey's."  It's in the beverage section.
