Yeah, it takes a while for the flavors to develop - especially if you use dry spices. You can use less spices to get the flavors if it gets to sit for a bit.

I may try a hotter spice than the chili powder next time on some pieces - problem is that I'm about the only one who likes a spicy meata balla.

:D :D You crack me up!
For people I cook for that don't like spicy(which I adore!!) I do a spicy sweet which is always a hit ! ;)
i do remember though one time Doug made jerk chicken that was so hot we couldn't eat it! We rinsed and rinsed it and it had to go in the trash.Thats when I learned when you open a jar of  jerk seasoning use it the longer it sits in the fridge the hotter it gets! :D

I don't like food that hurts.  I have to draw the line somewhere and that's what I chose.

I marinated the breasts in SF maple syrup, EVOO, Franks wing sauce and cumin.  I also marinated bacon strips in SF syrup.  I put them on a foil lined broiler rack, sprinkled with garlic powder,  Mrs Dash Chipolte seasoning, wrapped a bacon strip around each breast, and baked @350 for 30 min.  Used Waldens bacon ranch dressing for dipping sauce.  They were really good!!  Thanks for the recipe!! :) :) :)

Doesn't that sound good, romarc! I enjoyed the ones I fixed, but they were pretty plain compared to yours! I love food - isn't it neat that we get to eat!

Bacon has gone up so much in price that I'm glad to get it a food bank once in a while.

LOL, I do get some personal items from food bank too.
It's gone so crazy there, people were complaining that they let the old disabled people go first.
Now they don't let them & never told them, made them go to the back of the line.
They aren't going there anymore. I hope it stays open
