Isn't it amazing when you don't eat sugar how sweet a strawberry is? :)

Everything tastes sweet and fresh. Kick the salt and all food is even better! It IS amazing!

I don't use as much salt as I used to, but I agree with Umpa, life without salt would make me sad, too.

Some salt is vital, but I've been a salt freak all my life and my body finally said "enough!" When I over do the salt shaker now, I suffer. And I can really taste the salt in foods like canned soup/broth, etc.

Oh, good, Sarah.  For a moment there I thought you wanted me to turn in my salt shaker.  In my youth, I salted before I tasted.  Now, I taste and use salt if I need it.  My usage is way down but it's still important to me.

Our bodies need a little salt to function.
When we get too much, we can get into trouble (e.g. hardening of the arteries).

Too much of anything is NOT good!

I agree. I use salt at the table when I need it and always use a grinder with Kosher Salt . With hot flashes I crave it.I like to make flavored salts and salt scrubs too.Doug likes the salt scrubs for his back. ;) I have never had a blood pressure issue though. ;)

Too much salt makes my joints hurt, but sometimes you just gotta have it. Food does taste a whole lot fresher and sweeter when you're off of it, though.

Hi BigTex! :)

Our family members get no material gain from helping others on this forum.
For us, it's a labor of love.
Our remuneration is knowing that we are helping other "special" people become "regular" (skinny) healthy people. ;D

We ARE truly blessed to have one another, FTS, Doug, and Umpa! :) :) :)
