Spice Rack - Under the Cabinet
« on: April 17, 2012, 10:10:19 PM »
I struggle with my spices - always knock half of them out of the cupboard or mess them up inside the cupboard - I saw this on pinterest and bought a couple - I love them! I bought a bunch of new spices at WinCo - in bulk and saved a ton on them (something like 25 spices for $16), so I didn't feel bad spending $33 on the spice rack. If this looks like something anyone is interested in, let me know and I'll tell you where I got it.

The first picture shows it open - it folds up and slides away to a little 'drawer' under the cabinet. I'll see if I can upload another picture... yep, got the second picture. Very nice - hand made. Oh, and it doesn't have to swing open under the cabinet - it can open at the outer edge of the cupboard. Attaches with 4 screws. 18 inches wide, 12 inches deep.

I asked if they make colors other than natural oak and Traci said at first that they only do oak, then after I asked, she (I assume 'Traci' is a girl's name) said they will leave it unfinished if I request it when I order so I can put on the stain or paint I want. I want to get one in dark walnut for a friend's new house... etsy.com has the best price that I could find.

Hi Sarah! :)

I have so many spices in our cabinet, I have many of them piggy backed on each other.
Tried using lazy susans. But when a bottle or two falls over, they jam up and create a problem.

This is a great solution for keeping those frequently used spices handy!
So when I go after one, I don't have to worry about a spice avalanche onto the counter! :D :D :D

I know exactly what you mean - I have the same problem - and the spice I want is always at the back, so everything in front falls over when I dig for it, then I have to clean up the extra mess.

Oh, yeah, ZERO fits in there with leftover space when you store the little bottles of spices.

A great spot for ZERO!... I'll be using it OFTEN! ;D ;D ;D

I'll be ordering two of these next week.
I experiment a lot... So even "less used" spices are handy too! ;)
