For those who exercise ,what do you do?

I understand that we don't "have to ", but it makes me feel good and I want t tone up while I am losing.And I have alot to tone up!!! LOL!!! ;D

I use kettle-bells( love the cardio that goes along with the weights)  and reg. weights 30 min 3 days per week. I walk 1+ mile 2-3 times per week. This is not counting playing with my kids!! :)

I have lost 21 inches(over all) in 7 weeks. :o

Just wandered if anyone else is or has done reg.exercise while losing weight.

21 inches is a BUNCH :o to lose in only 7 weeks!

I walk 5 miles a day every morning before coffee... I love the early morning air! ;D
I also do a lot of work around our property like tending animals, mending (or moving) fences, landscape maintenance, etc., etc..
What you do today is what matters!

Hi Tonia, I don't do any organized exercise, but I do walk a couple miles 2 or 3 times a week and do yard work and home improvements, etc.

That's great tonia. I walk also 3-4 miles several times per week.   I have a walking buddy.  If its raining we drive to the gymI need to stop cheating so much so I can see bigger results like you  :)

Anything is better than nothing though.
I also use to use the walk away the pounds dvds( for my first 60-80 pounds loss). So,I never had an excuse not to walk if the weather was bad.  ::)
I didn't have a buddy to walk with-I am sure that is nice to have. :)

Hi Tonia :) I just try to move everyday.I like to put on my ipod and dance while cleaning the house,shoot my bows,ride my bicycle to grocery store(which is great because you can't overbuy),or if I am hot flashing I run on a treadmill.The treadmill is good when I can't get outside.Doug hates exercise but he will ride his bicycle to store.

Tonia, what you described sounds like a good plan.  What I like particularly about your plan is it sounds like you are consistent that you get some exercise.   I go to the gym to exercise, but I am very inconsistent with it.  I do think your consistency is that has helped you lose those inches in seven weeks. 

How did you learn how to do the kettlebells?  I've seen those at the gym, and they look interesting to work with.

I looked on line read alot and watched videos on youtube.I started light 8lb and now use 10 lb.It is fun too! They say average weight to use is 12-15 lb to start.I have still had good results with the weights I use. 20 min. burns about 400 calories!!!
I know we don't have to count calories( and I don't) but it's cool to know what I am doing is helping me tone up and lose.
It is a good work out.I could only do 12 min when I started and now do 20 min 3 times per week.

Just an update- I have lost 21 lb and 21 in. in 8 weeks!
 
One goal was to be down 20 pounds by my b-day(which is in 2 days) and I did it!
