substitute for chocolate milk
« on: May 31, 2010, 05:58:55 PM »
I just recently purchased the book and plan to start the program as soon as I finish the book.  I would like to make this a family endeavor.  I have two small children that just love chocolate milk.  Can anyone tell me if there is a good alternative?

Hi,

I saw the SF Hershey syrup but it had splenda in it and I thought you said splenda was a no no.  Isn't splenda "sucralose"?

Trying to figure out which sugars are ok and which not.  I know the alcohols are alright, right?

Oh and what low carb ice cream do you eat that is ok?
Peace and blessings,

Splenda is not evil, you just have to realize there are carbs in it.And the measurements I gave were for splenda out of the bag or packets.Splenda in products is okay, just don't buy into the zero carb marketing.Add carbs to your daily count if you eat  those products. If i buy ice cream it is Carbsmart or Blue Bunny Sugarfree(4 carbs or 3 per serving)I prefer to make my own because i like strawberry and coconut and i can't buy that.

Great to know, thanks!  I will probably have to check into getting an ice cream maker so I know what is in it.  I always ate Breyers because there are only a few ingredients and you can pronounce them. lol  I think Breyers makes the carbsmart...I'll check.

Have a blessed day!
