5 carbs per serving is a little high. You can use the omm recipe and make pancakes any flavor you would like by adding extract or cocoa powder of a flavored syrup. The omm recipe is a 1.You can buy golden flaxseed at any grocery store or big lots. Its cheap and will keep you full all day. ;)

The carbs are high AND they aren't as good as the Cream Cheese Pancakes or the OMM pancakes.

Good morning, Umpa.  It's Friday and I only work 4 hours on Fridays so I'm a very happy woman at the moment.  I helped move gravel from the driveway to the backyard last night and didn't even break a sweat.  I LOVE FTS!

There are 17 surviving members of my husband's class of 20 and 14 were there for dinner on Friday night.  We laughed about growing up in a small town where almost everyone is related to each other (my husband's reason for leaving the state and finding a bride elsewhere) and shared all of our getting older stories.  I like going back to those roots better than my husband does and he appreciates that I'm willing to go with him so that makes it a win-win.  Since his parents died a few years ago, we go back much less often.  I think you need to decide what's important and work at it, so we do.

I love that I'm from a small town  ;D   I had 14 in my graduating class  LOL  What fun we had  :D  The only bad thing I could find with it was that the dating pool was pretty slim..... it would be like kissing your brother  :-*  HA!

Im glad you had a great time to Andrea  ;)

I cannot seem to get this recipe to work for me. I've tried it 3 times. No matter how careful I am with turning the pancakes, they fall apart, then I just have globs of batter in the pan. On this last batch, I even tried adding a little almond flour thinking that would make them a little more sturdy and even that didn't work. >:( I just put them in a baking pan and try to bake what's left and see what happens.

Well, this one is a fail for me. After baking, it came out sort of about the thickness of a real pancake, but I didn't much like the flavor. Dang!

itsoversugar,
If you are really craving a Bisquik type pancake, you can try using Carbquik.  I get it from netrition.  The other option would be look at the pancake variations with the one minute muffin recipe.  If you go to the recipe section of the forum and search on pancake, you'll find quite a few options.

Good luck.

Hi Itsoversugar! :)

I'm assuming that you followed the recipe to the letter...

Given that, make sure your pan is hot enough BEFORE adding the "batter".
Even "regular" pancake batter will turn out funky cooked on a warm pan.

I like to use peanut oil.
Simply add it to the pan, heat pan on med-high heat until a drop of water will dance in it.
Then you're ready to go.

After the pan gets hot enough, you can really crank these gems out. ;)
What you do today is what matters!

These look good. I'll have to try them next time I'm in the mood for pancakes. Cool!
