Whenever I see stuff like bagels, I automatically change it to something FTS. Great idea, Shawn! A salad bowl! Doesn't it make you look at things differently when you see what other people are doing? It does me.

I don't want to rain on the parade but please be careful using plastics that weren't designed for food storage.  The chemical composition is different and can be harmful.  The exposure is probably small but probably more significant for children.  Especially don't heat food in them.

Good advice, Andrea! I would put whatever I was going to eat in a plastic bag before putting it in the case. I also don't like cooking in plastic.

I was just sent a report from a friend last month from the Mayo clinic on plastics.It was very interesting .if i can find it I will post it ;)

I put the ziploc omelets idea up and they are delicious, but I have to admit that I don't make them as much as I might because they're cooked in plastic. I know a lot of people who eat them regularly.
