Need Suggestion
« on: May 24, 2012, 06:42:41 PM »
FTS Advocates,

I need an idea. I'm looking for a good veggie that can serve as a "chip" for tuna or chicken salad. It's basically functioning as a protein delivery system. I do have GG Bran but if I have one for breakfast, I try to not eat it at lunch. I figure using a veggie for lunch would be low cal, high fiber, and give me some vitamins and the crunchiness I so desire. I'm trying to find something that doesn't have seeds. Gracias.

That's a good one. I like those with my buffalo and butter chicken with blue cheese (mmmmm..)

What about something that can be cut into "chip like" rounds?

I use Parmesan or cheddar cheese crisps to serve with my chicken or tuna salad.  I make them in the microwave so they are extra crispy then put them in the fridge.  To make them the same size I measure a Tbl and nuke for 30 seconds on a paper plate.   They slide right off the plate onto a paper towel to cool.
Look out Hawaii, I'm on my way!!

My goto is always cucumber slices. English cucumbers do not have the big seeds like a regular cucumber. They're the really long ones wrapped in plastic.

Welcome to the family, flashstep!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

This is a great place to visit and participate in often.
For many it means the difference between success and giving up out of discouragement.

FTS is VERY easy!
The toughest part is changing what's going on between our ears.
But once we've done that, we're on our way! ;D

I'm looking forward to hearing about your FTS journey!
