I'm a food pusher, too.  My whole family is trim and active and I still make some of the old favorites but have added low carb choices that I share with them.

Thanks SO SO Much Guys! I'm back...and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I couldn't cook my own, because I was staying with family out of state. I did use some strategies. I piled the fresh veggies and lean meats high and didn't leave room for the breads, dressing, potatoes, or sweets. I had some fresh fruit for dessert, and after she saw me, the following meal my cousin made a dessert just for me that was sugar free! I will have to share the recipe soon... it was amazing... it needs some low carb tweaking, but she really put an effort toward helping me!
I know I over indulged, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I feared it would be. I am a little scared to weigh in... but am hoping for the best tomorrow.

THANKS AGAIN  for the love and support!!! *grouphug*
 :)

And a good cousin to offset the "other" one.  Dad's side vs. Mom's side, I think.

Congratulations on the successful weekend.  No matter what the scale says, that was a big WIN for you.  You learned that you can handle situations where you aren't in charge of everything but you are in control of what goes on your plate!

You did great, Suzanne.  HUGZ all around.

I am up 1.2 pounds. I'm not surprised, a little relieved! Not too bad!

The dessert, she called it simply "Lemon Dessert" . lol

Crust:
Crushed ritz crackers and butter.
Filling:
Frozen sugar free lemonade concentrate
one package of cream cheese
*blend
Topped with sugar free cool whip.

Hi Suzanne! :)

The one ingredient you listed is VERY high in carbs... Ritz Crackers!
Pick up a box, read the nutrition label, and you'll see what I mean.
The other ingredients are likely low or no carb. Not sure about the lemonade though.

Remember that weight loss is a process.
During that process, weight will fluctuate up and down a few pounds.
This is NORMAL!... It's the long term trend (down or up) that matters.

Also, don't forget to measure yourself every now and then.
Inches are known to disappear even when the scale doesn't say so.

Kudos for not giving in to the high carb stuff this early in your FTS journey! :) :) :)
Being around high carb temptations can be difficult early on.
It gets easier and easier as time goes by.

You're doing great!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Don't let the scale in any way discourage you!

Tony
What you do today is what matters!

I know!!!!  :o I totally skipped the crust, she was trying and I am grateful for sure! I FREAKED OUT when I went to the store today to get the stuff to make it myself. I figured out how to make something similarly light and tasty without all the excess while in the market.  I used Extra Creamy Coolwhip, one packet of lemonade flavored koolaide, and 20 or so drops of Zero. I mixed it all together and chilled it for an hour or so... topped it with a sliced strawberry... and liked it even better than the original!
