In my 60 years on this planet, I've found that the solutions that work are, most often by far, those that are simple! :)
What you do today is what matters!

The weight loss industry thrives on confusion to insure the health of its multi-billion dollar income. No-one makes any money from simple!  >:( >:(

That's so true, Doug!

This is why we must constantly question things.
Consensus & accepted wisdom does NOT equal truth!

Yes yes yes a thousand times yes!!!

I am always suspicious when the "goal" is really a moving target. What you're being sold is the fantasy of the goal but without the tools to get there. I once took dance lessons that also kept this goal of achievement that I could get if I just "bought more lessons". Things like this make me suspicious.  >:(

Plus, dieting when carbs (especially wheat) is always nagging at your biochemistry to "eat more" is a really tough way to live. I've heard that Weight "watchers your weight go up a down" relies on the group support because eating so many carbs requires large amounts of group therapy and hugs (and apparently teeny tiny bags of carby snacks). I joined this cult 7 times in my life.

The fact is nobody can lose weight for you but  you. You have to have the "want to".When you do get control and slay the sugar dragon, you will get more out of it than weight loss. You will feel in control of your life and health. You will also get your self confidence back.  ;) You can do anything you set your mind to.

You're back, Jo.  The past is the past.  Make good choices today and eventually they become normal to you.

Andrea and Umpa are so right, Jo! :)

Forgiveness to others is a gift to oneself.
And what's cool about it, it will also work when you forgive yourself!

Forgiveness is one of the Lord's greatest gifts to us!
Always freely accept it and be FREE!!! :) :) :)

Umpa I aint not quiter LOL  I am just mental  ;)

The past is the past and you are very right Tony &  Andrea . I just know that if I had not wavered a hundred times I would be where you are . We started out about the same time sept 2010 and we were both slowly keeping up with each other in the turtle club , my hubby kept saying " whats one splurge gonna hurt your not losing that much anyway " . ( I think hubby was trying to sabatoge me a little ) & my mental brain said well WTH
But we know all it does it make us gain and lose the same 3 pounds everytime we do that .

I know I need to get where Morgan is and love myself as much as I love others sad to say I never have been able to do that .

You have the power to make the changes and now you know that slowly losing is not an excuse to fudge a little here and there.  We need to help you be prepared with the proper response to your husband's comments.  I'll start.

1)  How quickly I'm losing isn't the issue.  I'm choosing to stay the course so that I can eventually reach my goal.
2)  You know you are making it harder for me to get and stay healthy.  Please stop doing that.
3)  I'm making choices to eat healthier.  Is there a reason you want to make those choices harder?

Don't let your husband become your excuse.  Lean on us as much as you need to.  You are only accountable to yourself.

Hi Jo! :)

But He can do that through you, if you let Him.

Always remember that the Lord thinks you were (and are) important enough to love.
So much so, that He sent His only Son to sacrifice Himself so that you could be with Him forever.

Therefore, rejoice and love yourself.
Because His Spirit lives within YOU! :)

Thanks Tony I told you before that you have to be the sweetest man ever !!

Andrea I am not blaming him that is for sure it is me thinking itis never gonna happen anyway so why not when he was wanting to go out ..He is on a diet now not FTS but pretty low carb and Tyler stays under 50 carbs .
So no junk in the house and only go out to eat and get FTS friendly stuff like I did when started before . He is a very kind person LOL he just wanted to go eat at a Chinese restaurant and wanted me to go even though he knew it would mess me up . Just wanted you to know it was my fault and frustration for giving in not his . Because He is almost as sweet as Tony  ;)
