End of 10th Week Weigh-In
« on: July 23, 2012, 09:13:57 AM »
Lost 1.8 pounds this week...down 39.6 pounds.  I think I can do much better - need to start better tracking all my calories including sugar alcohol.

Umpa - what is a ticker and how do I go about getting one?   Also, what do you think about reporting my weight loss this way (Updates weekly..."end of 10th week weighin, etc.)?  I only started reporting this way because it would be easy for someone considering starting this diet to easily review my progress over the weeks to see my success.  My goal was to report this way until I lost my 75 pound goal.  But, I also don't want to clog up with all my emails.

I love your weekly posts on your weight loss so I vote for you to keep on doing it.

Tickers are the weight loss trackers at the bottom of our posts.  Doug has instructions here:

And, if you are like most of us, your weight loss will slow down as you get closer to your goal.  That gives your body time to adjust to the new you.  My last 5 pounds have been torturously slow!

Kudos on your progress, Cathy!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

No matter what I do, my pounds have been VERY slowly coming off for months now.
But that's OK!... I know that I'll never go back to eating like I used to. So I'm not concerned.

So when you reach your goal Cathy, what will change?

First, you can SLOWLY begin adding back carbs to determine your carb break point.
That is the point beyond which you'll begin to gain weight.
Then, you'll dial it back until find that place where you don't gain or lose.

Your portion sizes should not change much from what they are now.
If you decrease your carb intake, you may be able to increase portion sizes without negative impact.

When you get to your goal, you can test these out to find your own, personal "sweet spot".

There are numerous variables that can cause temporary weight gain or loss.
But using the FTS rules will help keep the FAT away for the rest of your life! :) :) :)

What you do today is what matters!
