Detoxification Symptoms
« on: August 05, 2012, 04:41:44 PM »
Hi All,

What type of detoxification symptoms should I expect as I begin to lose weight on FTS? I have been on an eating plan already so I'm making the modifications for FTS. So far I've had acne and my blood pressure rises sometimes as the toxins move out.

Curious what some of you experienced!  :):):):):)

I got a little headache the first week to ten days in. Not bad. I was also HUNGRY... I felt like I starving constantly... so I ate "safe foods" until I was about to pop. I think a lot of the hunger was purely psychological.  Drink your water and start a good vitamin if you haven't already and you will breeze right through!! :) Good Luck!

My first week was tough! I had the shakes , was sweating, and felt like I was crawling out of my skin. After the first week it was smooth sailing! I feel amazing now!

Welcome Southern Belle.  I don't think I had such a bad time as a lot of the people on the forum, though I craved bread and pasta so much.  Then I discovered the One Minute Mufffin and it settled right down.  Psychological or physical?  Pasta was my favourite and I try not to think too much about it  :D

Hi Southern Belle! :)

No two of us are the same.
Detox symptoms can range from "nothing" to feeling like a heroin addict trying to quit cold turkey.

Just remember that sugar detox is very temporary. Usually, 10-14 days.
You'll know you've past it when you feel great and your energy levels go thru the roof.

Your fellow FTS family members have given you some great ideas for coping.

Also remember... Drink LOTS of PLAIN water EVERY day (64 oz. minimum)!
Among many other things, it's vital to weight loss.
And, get enough sleep.
When we're even slightly dehydrated or are sleep deprived, our progress can stop.

You'll love how you feel after you've detoxed! ;D ;D ;D
What you do today is what matters!

Thank you all for responding! I must have a lot of salt stored in my fat cells because I have been tasting salt all day and I can literally feel it coming through my pores on my face particularly. I drink anywhere from 64-84 oz of water a day. I'm hoping this passes pretty quickly because it makes you feel awful. It's also causing my bp to elevate.

Im so excited to be part of this team.... :):):):):):):):)

You are doing great!   :)  I think I felt kinda yucky for about a week, but everyone is different.  Your gonna breeze right through  ;)  Drink lots of water it will help flush everything and possibly speed up the process   ;D

Swwwweet!  :D Congrats, Girlie!  I know what you mean about lighter on the inside. It was like I was less dense... if that makes sense? lol I started getting softer and squishier too. Don't worry... when you stall a bit, that is when your body catches up and you start to firm. Every step seems to have a specific body shaping purpose! :)

HOORAY, Southern Belle!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

That description makes perfect sense... I felt it too!
I think it has something to do with normalizing blood sugar (glucose) levels.

I hope your sister joins us here soon!
The more, the merrier! :) :) :)

You are so right, Suzanne! :)

The process of weight loss is very complex.
Our total body weight is only one small part of it.

Inside our bodies, many biochemical rebalancing processes are also occurring.
For example, as our FAT cells shed fat, water temporarily replaces the "space" the FAT once took.
And since water is heavier than FAT, this can appear like a stall out or even a modest  gain.
What you do today is what matters!
