Welcome to the forum, thinisin.  I'm sure you will quickly discover that Doug and Umpa have replacements for so many foods that there is no reason to ever feel deprived.  I look forward to having you join the fun here on the forum.

Welcome to the FTS family, Thinisin!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

I too tried Atkins.
Including his earliest version in the early 1970s. And some later versions too.
All did the same thing... I lost weight. But found I could not stick with it and gained back all the weight and more.

One of the big differences with FTS, like Andrea said, we focus on replacing those high carb foods with much healthier alternatives.

We have MANY different recipes for "treats" on this forum.
Browse this topic area for a number of good ones:
http://www.fattoskinny.net/index.php?board=27.0
There are also quite a few hiding in the "General Discussion" topic area too!

One thing to remember about sweets (i.e. sugar alcohols), they can slow or stop weight loss progress.
No two of us are alike. So some of us can eat quite a bit with no impact.
While for others, this is not the case.

It's up to you to find your own tolerance level, and adjust accordingly.
For people sensitive to them, sweets should be only eaten VERY occasionally.

We're all here to help you along your way to a new "thin" you.
With FTS, thin is ALWAYS in! :)

Thanks or all the replies!!! So you can have treats as long as there are no sugar alcohols? Only the artificial sugar will stall? Any sweeteners that don't stall? Thanks!!

I feel like if I can have one little treat a day, I can stick to this way of eating :)

Hi Thinisin! :)

Sugar alcohols are OK.
It's just that they're known to negatively impact progress for many (not all) folks.
That's why I said that it's up to you to find your own tolerance level to them, and adjust accordingly.

However, if sweet treats are a daily "must have" for you, I strongly suggest FTS Zero.
Doug has it available here;
http://www.shop.fattoskinny.com/product.sc?productId=15&categoryId=1

I've been using FTS Zero as a sweetener for a while now and noticed that it doesn't effect me like sugar alcohols do.
BTW, it has NO sugar alcohols and tastes GREAT without a funny aftertaste! ;D
One little bottle goes a LONG way. It's equal to about 6 lbs. of sugar!

Please understand that my purpose here is NOT to sell FTS Zero.
I'm offering it as an option to you should sugar alcohols cause you problems.

I agree with Tony! I am a coffee drinker and zero is amazing! I love it better than all the sweeteners on the market : )

Yep...... zero is the way to go  ;)  I've had a bag of xylitol in the cabinet for ever now.  i just don't seem to find a reason to use it.  I just like to use the zero because I don't have the tummy issues with it, not to mention it is so easy to carry with you.   ;D

Hi Keke!!

Thinking of making the one minute muffin today & maybe some low carb chocolate fudge to freeze.

What is the best peanut butter dessert recipe you guys have liked? :-)

Hi and welcome to the forum!  I know you will love it here!
I love peanut butter cookies!  Umpa has a great recipe made with the "beanit butter"...check it out!

I also love to make shakes in the blender using a little peanut butter & unsweetened cocoa.....I put some almond milk, sweetener & crushed ice... makes a great chocolate/peanut butter shake!
