I overcame temptation!
« on: August 25, 2012, 04:41:26 PM »
Today, I've been working all day from 9am to 3:30pm.  I usually work all day on Saturdays which is hard because of late lunch.  Anyway, I ate breakfast before I went to work.  I brought snack with me during lunch time - very light snack.  So in between those hours (my free time) I went to flea market and bought broccoli and I was drooling over concord grapes which is my f a v o r i t e!  I couldn't resist to buy it.  I hope concord grape is allowed to eat????

Anyway....I'm proud of me is that I was so tempting to stop by at subway to eat because I was so exhausted and wasn't in the mood to cook at home.  The more I thought about it....I thought....whether I'm tired, I am going home and make me chicken salad!!!!!  Glad that I overcame the temptation!  ;D ;D ;D

Hi Audra!

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but grapes are VERY high in fructose... which is fruit sugar.
For the same reason, we don't eat raisins (dehydrated grapes).

100 grams (@ 3.5 ounces) of grapes (red or green) have about 17 net carb grams.
See; http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/2339

Sorry! :-\

Next time just have a low carb tortilla or pita in your car and stop at subway and use your own bread :)
