How about a contest that puts together a menu from the recipe section?  4 or 5 courses, all existing recipes.

We sometimes forget how many good selections there are in that section.

Rather than recycling the wonderful recipes on the forum how about a new and original christmas recipe, be it entree, main or (our favourite) dessert.  Or prehaps an edible christmas gift (christmas brownies, biscuits, cake).

So true, Umpa! :)

Traditional holiday fare (except the meat and turkey) is very high carb.
Not to mention all the so-called "treats" that float around.

I don't know why we automatically think of food for a contest - how about the best fts poem, limmerick or joke? (Along the lines of - What did one fts-ter say to the other fts-ter?) or the most motivational saying? or a picture of doug & umpa speaking with the word bubbles and we fill in the words?

We gotta be careful with limericks!
Most that I've heard should NOT be repeated in mixed company! :D :D :D
