STARVING FOR JUNK!
« on: October 18, 2012, 10:18:24 PM »
I just got off work and this is my normal "junk" time. I want something so bad! I have got to get my mind off this! I'm sitting here with a large
Cup of water:/

You can do it!!   ;D ;D  Go get something 0 carb like a piece of cheese, meat of some kind, jello cup or if you can spare the carbs a handful of nuts.  My favorite late nite treat is a milk shake made of ice and sugar free almond milk.  It just takes being prepared for those "I gotta have" times.  Hang in there  ;) ;)

Once you get the sugar out of your system you won't be starving for that stuff anymore. I am the biggest sugar addict ever. I swear it's an addiction. If I eat anything with sugar I will literally start dreaming about eating it. It is so sad, I say it's like a druggie looking for a fix. But after about a week of not eating the sugar it goes out of my system completely and I don't crave it. It is SO FREEING not to have that little thing in my brain telling me to eat, I can't even express the relief. Now I crave cheese, ham, and most recently chilli dogs. You can do this...you just need to really watch you labels so the sugar doesn't sneak in and get you.

My bathrooms are really clean.  There's something about cleaning the bathroom that kills all the cravings for food, sweets included.

Sometimes it takes extreme measures to get your mind and body back under control.

I say to you give it time for your body to cleanse it self from sugars and be amazed at how you will feel and transform later.

I agree about the cravings going.  When I first started on fts I had to bake for the local craft shop (bake sale every friday and all the ladies take a turn).  I don't know how much water I drank during the first few that I did - just as well water restrictions weren't in at the time  ;)  Now I bake and I don't even lick a finger or even sample my wares (these are sugar loaded).  No temptation to eat anything that doesn't sell either.  Usually pass it onto friends/neighbours/acquaintances or freeze. The ingredients are on a separate shelf and only used on my bake day.

ps - When I bake for visitors or when I take something with me to friends, that is all fts friendly.
