Hello from Cape Cod! We made out fine here along the CC Canal,a bit scary when the tide came to within 20feet of my driveway though!  We didn't even lose power. Sending my best hopes  and prayers to all affected by the Hurricane especially those in NY&NJ.

We came through OK.  Just far enough north of NYC to escape the worst of it.  Prayers to all who were caught in the path of the storm.

Hi friends as many of you know I am near the jersey shore and it has been pretty devastating to see the total mess that is left. Our boardwalks are gone, the streets are filled with sand knee high, the houses have been flooded and nearly picked up and tossed around. Thankfully, in my neighborhood we had minimal damage , did have some power outages and no cable or internet but am thankful we are all still alive and well. I had to work when the storm was planning on hitting so we were told to pack our bags because we would be "stuck" there for few days depending upon the other shifts being able to get in and us being able to get back. So not only did I pack the essentials but I packed "safe" food for me to remain accountable to my lifestyle, we all know all it takes is a little bit of stress, being out of our comfort zone added with a natural distaster = recipe for our own disaster! I made eggs and bacon and placed in tupperware, peanuts, pepperoni, cheese , jello and greens to reheat. I remained focused and did not derail proud to say! It is going to take months if not years to rebuild our community over here, president Obama was here yesterday to assess the damage. Keep all of us in your prayers! Just wanted to check in and remain accountable for my new lifestyle Xoxo

So glad you safe.  Bummer (to say the least) about your community.  Good thinking about planning ahead with your food.  Hugs and prayers on way.

So thankful you are safe Stephanie.  My thoughts and prayers were and continue to be with those that have been in this storm's path.  The pictures of the destruction on the news has been so devastating....I can only imagine what it is like on a personal level.

Hi Stephanie! :)

I'm so thankful that you're OK.

And am very glad to hear that you found a way to stay the course with FTS despite the disaster.
If a hurricane could not derail you, you're well on your way to your goal! 8)

You and your neighbors will remain in my prayers for some time to come.

Tony

Hi Stephanie! I totally understand how you feel. Doug and I went through 4 years of category 5 storms in the Florida Keys. Most people don;t understand what it is like to be without electricity , water, mail and basic services.Fema does a great job but its never fast enough to get back to :normal life:. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We have friends in New Jersey and have been blessed they are safe.  :)
