Hey everyone, I'm new here and just checking this out.  Have had the book for almost a year and have dipped my toes into low carb eating but decided to jump in head first now so I will probably need some help, PLEASE!!!   Any great advice or suggestions is greatly welcomed!  Kerri

Welcome to the FTS family, Kerri.  I haven't been here all that long myself, but I can tell you that this is a great group of people.  They will answer your questions, offer encouragement and support you in so many ways.  As they say, jump right in... the water's fine.

Oooh, oooh, I get to say it this time...

Kerri, the best advice for new members that I have seen is start simple.  Eggs, Meat, Cheese, green veggies, and of course, lots of water.  Browsing the forum, you will finds some of the best low carb recipes anywhere, but wait until you are comfortable before trying to do too much experimenting.  See how your body reacts.  Remember that one of the keys to FTS is that we substitute low carb alternatives for the foods we love.  Our goal is to make this a sustainable lifestyle... and that means not depriving ourselves, but finding substitutions.

Welcome, Kerri.

Mark got all the parts in his advice.  He was a newbie like you not that long ago.  We're here on the forum because we know how much the support helped us and we want to help you be successful.  Come back and ask as many questions as you want.

Welcome to the FTS family, Kerri!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

You've gotten some great advice from fellow family members.

Always remember that this is lifestyle change and not a diet.
Focus your thinking on getting "healthier", more than you think about "weight".
Before long, the FTS lifestyle will be second nature to you. 8)

So just relax and enjoy your personal journey to a healthier and skinnier YOU! ;D
