Skechers Shape-Ups...Does anyone own a pair?

Hi,
Does anyone own a pair of the new Skechers Shape-Up shoes?
The one thing I really do not want is to spend money I don' need to spend.
I heard today that they make a world of difference.
But...I just bought new walking shoes....should I be patient and buy them later?
Need your advice...please.

I think they're an excuse to take our money. Although, Ive never actually used them. To pricey for my blood.

I did some research on them and if you have any sort of ongoing knee pain stay FAR away from them!  I wanted to get a pair but decided to play it safe (because of my knees) and bought regular walking shoes.

I have a global opinion on "gimmicks" If it looks like a gimmick, smells like a gimmick and hasn't withstood the test of time...it's a gimmick. Take special note of Jenn's comment, making even the smallest changes to your instep can have detrimental effects on your knees and spine. I think if it was me I'd call a couple of podiatrists and get their thoughts, after all my comments are only opinion, not fact.

  thanks jenn..i was considering them..i have a knee that jars occasionally when walking...don't think i'll bother with the shoes now...xx

i would buy just a good pair of sneakers instead.My concern with those shoes because of the angle is knee pain and lower back pain.

I will not be buying them...I'm glad I waited 24 hours before making that decision and thank you for your input!!!
I do have a brand new pair of New Balance Running Shoes that I will use for walking....

I think new balance probally makes the best tennis shoes.i have tried alot of brands and always go back to new balance.

i don't own them but i do have a friend who broke her ankle while wearing them.  and i have heard other horror stories about them.

Yep Imkay32 I saw them on a lady and ask her how she liked them and she said i don't know,I want to like them cause they were expensive!Me,I am top heavy,i saw that curve on the shoe and said girlfriend you are gonna land on your face!

My sister bought them and they kill her legs and not in a good way. She buys anything to try and loose weight without having to do anything. I think I would rather have a good pair of New Balance.

If wearing heavy footwear promoted weight loss, I would have been a twig wearing my winter boot/steeltoe work boot working 16 hour shifts.
