Do you love crab meat but not the price? Here's a simple recipe I came up with to enjoy all that great crab flavor substituted with all that wonderful fish we've been catching lately
Ingredients
2- 6 ounce thick chunks of white fish (I use Grouper or Tile fish but any thick filets will work)
2- 12x12 pieces of cheesecloth
2- twist ties
melted butter
Cajun Boil seasoning like Cajunland Brand or Zattarans
Directions
1-Bring a small pot of water to a boil
2-Spice the water to your satisfaction with the Cajun seasoning
3-Wrap each chunk of fish in the cheesecloth tightly and tie off
4-Boil the fish packs for 5 minutes then pull the pot from the heat, let the fish rest in the water for about ten minutes
5-Melt some butter for dipping
6-Unwrap the fish and dip the chunks in melted butter
Serve with a nice green salad or our wasabi cole slaw recipe.
TIP- If you want to enjoy a crab salad the next day make extra and refrigerate overnight. Break up the next day and mix with Mayo and chopped celery.
