Welcome to the FTS family, Angela!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Remember the old adage; "In all things, moderation is key!".

Don't overdo it with workouts!!!
As a former athlete, I can tell you that you run the risk of injury.

As far as fudge goes, try this low carb recipe from Umpa;

It is REALLY good!!! ;D ;D ;D

Lol,I haven't seen the fudge recipe yet umpa....I'll look for it when I get home. I'm so excited! I've dropped 8 lbs this week! Doing the happy dance! And it's even the week before my cycle!
I have indulged in sugar free honey and peanut butter all week...my favorite! Haven't really even craved anything sweet to speak of, so I'm very happy!
72 more pounds to go! Yes!!!!

Hi Angela, I'm doing a fast fly by so I can get to the gym.  I lift weights, and have been low carbing since January.  It actually helps me feel better, stronger, and it helps my metabolism.  It's a great combination with FTS Low Carb lifestyle.

Good for you for working out-- and happy for your having 7.  I was only able to have 1, and he's grown now, and I wish I had more in my quiet house.

Also there is a learning curve to all of this -- be gentle on yourself....first of all just work on keeping your carbs down and watching out for carb creep.  Learning new recipes is a good idea......be gentle with yourself at the gym, progress slowly, and keep posting on FTS Forum so you can get the support you need and DESERVE!  We're here for you gal!

Hello Angela,  we are happy to have you with us. I love the gym too, please be careful how you work out. When you do FTS as a lifestyle you don't exercise to lose weight any more but as a joy to feel good and conditioned as Doug speaks of in his "Fat to Skinny"  book. It is what you eat and not the exercises that would help you to become fit with muscle and trimmed so please understand that.

When I was detoxing I lived on peanut butter! eat it  ;)
 ;)The best part about being a grandparent is watching your children trying to handle the babies.The children have asked us not to laugh  so loud! It confuses the child :)

Oh Umpa -- too funny about watching your children handle the babies -- I SOOOOOOOOOO look forward to watching my son be a father some day -- he thinks I'm too protective because of the type of work I do (he's always complained about that -- even made him roll play how to give up his wallet and car keys in case of carjacking -- HA!)   My son will be so protective and I think he will expect a LOT from his kids whereas his dad and I were very relaxed with him.  It will be so fun to watch though -- really really worth waiting for.  Plus my son has NO IDEA how much hard work it is.  That will be really fun to watch!   ::)  maybe that didn't sound nice.....oopsie but you know what I mean

and Umpa -- how do we find the fudge recipe for mommab???  Inquiring minds wanna know!!

You ask the umpa genie!! :D Go to the home page and type in the search bar what you are looking for.That way it searches the entire forum and not just the board you are on. ;)
