Hi, Hodus! :)

I welcomed you on another one of your posts.
Like TooSweet, I too, STRONGLY recommend that you read Doug's book!

One of the things you'll learn is that we become FAT due to what we've eaten (too many carbs).
By the same token, we lose FAT due to what we eat (few carbs).
It fits with the old and true adage; "You are what you eat.".

In his book, you'll also learn that exercise plays an important role in our health.
But it is NOT an efficient means to lose FAT.

Trust me on this... Doug's book is a REAL eye opener! :o

Since sugar is everything. Then if I only eat vegetable, there will be less chance to get obesity. My personal opinion. We can control this by eating healthy diet.

Welcome to the FTS family, storyofmine11!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Eating low carb IS eating a healthy diet.
Sugar (like the hidden sugar in some veggies) will make us FAT!

And consider this.... If eating only vegetables would prevent weight gain,
how do rabbits get fat eating lettuce and such?

I strongly suggest you read Doug's book.

Welcome to the FTS family, fittin!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

I agree with Umpa.
Based on your post, you need to read (or reread) Doug's FTS book.

I've tried most every diet plan out there before adopting the FTS lifestyle.
Some were quite similar to what you suggest.
And with ALL of them, I lost weight (for a while), before putting it all back on and more!

The FTS lifestyle can be summed up in 3 rules...

1) Eat no more than 20 net carbs per day.
2) Eat only when your body is truly hungry (not boredom, craving, etc.).
3) Eat just enough to satisfy that hunger, and no more.

If you adopt and live by these 3 simple rules, your body will have no choice by lose FAT!
The science behind that has be demonstrated over and over again!
I am one of many examples of it! ;)

Hey..
Same like other  members i would suggest you to read the book.. it would effective for your weight loss.. Dieting and exercise are both equally important for ideal weight loss

Hi, zatonil! :)

The truth is, diet and exercise are NOT equally important in healthy weight loss.

Exercise is wonderful for our bodies and general health.
And I HIGHLY recommend everyone exercise for those reasons.
However, exercise is VERY inefficient at burning off excess fat (and keeping it off).

What we put in our mouths has FAR more impact.
By limiting carb intake to 20 net grams per day, eating only when hungry, and using portion control,
fat disappears (and stays gone) as long as we watch what we eat.

I've been living FTS for over 3.5 years, and will continue the rest of my days.
Everything else I've tried in my 62 years (including exercise) has ALWAYS failed.

PLEASE READ (or REREAD) DOUG'S BOOK!!!
In it, you will learn just how the FTS lifestyle works.
