Hunger Signals
« on: April 19, 2013, 06:25:57 PM »
Driving home this morning from nightshift I was wondering whether I would have breakfast before going to bed.  Decided to do a hunger assessment.  Yep - hungry.  My signal is usually a gnawing/empty feeling in my stomach and feeling like throwing up.  I don't know if this is common or just me, which lead me to think what other folks experience when hungry.
So - what are your signals?

Sounds like me too, Morgan! :)

But if I get to the point I think of throwing up, I've waited far too long before eating.

I know that if I am really hungry, get a little light headed.  My wife tells me I get grouchy if I go to long between meals.  In thinking about it, I guess I do get a a queasy feeling if I am hungry.

I don't get any hunger signals. Doug usually asks me what I have eaten when I get lethargic or can't put my thoughts together, low blood sugar. A small snack ,like fruit or nuts brings me back out of it in about 15 minutes. i am very hyper active though. My mom use to say I have ants in my pants! :D I just forget to eat :)

I get like that with the empty stomach too and its so strange but I don't get the sensation of wanting to throw up.
