Weeks 1 - 52 : One Year Anniversary
« on: April 22, 2013, 09:21:54 PM »
Hello - Just to let you all know that it is my 1 Year Anniversary on FTS.

Altogether I have lost 46 lb.  I had hoped for more than that, but slow is better than not at all.
I feel much healthier and have more energy.  FTS is pretty much ingrained in me now and the weight thing not so much in the forefront of things, the health aspect taking the lead.

The year has flown by and it is the longest I have ever been on any eating plan (except for the overeating one  ;D), which really says it all.

This next year I have decided to add some form of  exercise in addition to normal daily activity.  Maybe just a walk (short or long) but on a daily basis.

Overall - still here :D

PS - thanks to all those who have answered any of my questions and encouraged me along the way - ta again  :)

Kudos to you Morgan for staying the course! :) :) :) :)

You will find that adding exercise like walking will make you healthier and help you feel even better.
When we feel better, our bodies' systems work better.
That improvement aids in weight loss progress! 8)

Hello Tony and Friends
I have been out of the loop for a few weeks. BIG NEWS FOR THIS JERSEY GIRL. We are expecting a bundle of joy  ;D ;D ;D. Some of you know that I had some serious health issues last summer with blood clots in my arm and in both of my lungs, so things have been a little hectic around here with having to go to what feels like a millions dr appts to make sure all is well and because I am not on lovenox ( blood thinner injected in you belly) because of my history. I am very early on 7 weeks but have been advised that it is not safe for me to be "low carbing" during pregnancy. Have done a ton of research and there is not true evidence that it is ok to lose weight or be in ketosis while pregnant. With that being said of course I have mixed emotions after losing alot of weight the past 10 months but I have the tools to make smart decisions and I am trying to increase my carbs via veggies, some fruits, and nuts. Funny how once you break the "cycle" you have been living for all this time how it takes a toll on ones emotions. BUT I AM THANKFULLY FEELING GREAT AS FAR AS THE PREGNANCY GOES.....just tired. Keep us in your prayers

P.S. I was granted a interview to the Nurse Practitioner Program at University of Delaware and went on Monday. There are 200 interviews and only 30 are admitted in the fall . Keeping my fingers crossed.

xoxo
