Hi Taby, looks like you are finally on the right track  :) Your customization of ingredients that best suits your individual health issues as well as fitting nicely into the FTS rules is another example of the simplicity of our program. Eating an FTS lifestyle in any country with any cuisine is as simple as following 2 rules, stay under 20 net carbs per day and watch your portion control. It doesn't get much easier than that!  ::)

Yes Doug you're right :) I've learned to try things and incorporate healthy and filling ingredients into many dishes, not just to fill, but add to the protein and Omega 3s and overall general health! I'm actually transforming my diet into not just vegan and low-carb, but mostly organic and non-GMO too :D LOVE health.
May you be blessed in all your endeavors, but most importantly, may you be humble. God keep you.

Hi Taby, hope all is going well. I came upon this website & saw some info on low carb vegetarian diet. You might know all this already, but just in case I wanted to show you.

Hi, Taby! :)

I know that some days, I'm not getting everything I need.
That's why I take vitamin supplements EVERY day!

I work outdoors a lot. But not so much in the Fall, Winter, and early Spring.
During the those months, I also take 5000mg of D3... In fact, took one this morning!

Proper thyroid balance is CRITICAL to your health!

My wife had been taking Synthroid for years. But the dose was off.
Because of that, when she started low carbing, she actually gained weight! :o
But when her med was adjusted correctly, she quickly started losing and felt so much better.

Once you get your thyroid dialed-in, a lot of other issues will get resolved too! :)

Welcome home, Taby! :) :) :) :) :)

So sorry to hear you've been going through a very rough patch with your health.
But like you say, 2014 is a new year that offers a new start.

Withdrawals (sugar detox) usually lasts 10 to 14 days.
But since no two of us are alike, you may get through it more quickly.
Just remember that, in sugar detox, urges for carbs will be strong so prepare yourself.

Focusing on getting healthier is really the soul of the FTS program and why Doug made it public.
Losing weight is simply a side benefit.
As if you stay focused on getting healthier, weight loss will follow naturally.

Please stay in touch! :)

I found sugar free jello that does not have gelatin in it...So it's vegetarian

Be sure to check out the ingredients.  Dole's gelatin-free gels  contain Carrageenan which has been linked to cancer, and Cochineal Extract which comes from the shells of insects.

I don't know whether it's good or bad for us, but some people might not want to eat insect shells.  I think it is important for us to be aware of what is in the food we are eating.
