you are sitting in the dentist chair waiting for the shots, and you are sitting there with those sticks in your mouth that give you the local anesthetic that tastes like fruit -- sort of like strawberry -- before you get the shot.....and the first thought you have is "I wonder if this local ancesthetic has carbs in it"........

hahahahahahaha rofl -- true story happened to me on thursday morning...

I've never thought that, though I'm surprised I didn't! How funny! Of course I never had dental work until my 30's when I finally got cavities and bunches of them all at once. Now I'm holding steady since getting those filled. It helps to not eat sugar I'm telling ya! It always catches up to you at some point!

Hi, Michelle! :)

Since I've been living the FTS lifestyle, I have NOT had ONE cavity! 8)
Plus, my dental hygienist says that my teeth and gums are much healthier, and cleanings go FAST! ;D

Just more evidence that sugar is toxic to every part of our bodies.

That's true! My hygienist was extra quick with my cleaning this time and she's super thorough. ;) That made me happy. She gave me some suggestions of a couple teeth to keep an eye on keeping extra clean between but that was it. That's great progress, this is the second cleaning (I go every 6-months) that has been clear and my X-rays were good. I think I have one residual issue that is staying the same. I had 12 fillings last year! They almost seemed disappointed there wasn't much to do lol.

Now my kids were another matter. My son's teeth are good (he's almost 18 and much more vigilant about his oral hygiene now because he wants his teeth white) but my stepchildren had several cavities each. They're barred from eating so much sugar! Victory for me lol. No more soda in my house. Yay! Problem solved!

Use the money you save on sugar for fun times with your kids. Beware of unnecessary xrays , all that radiation isn't good for you.I have my denist do a exam before I allow a xray.If he finds a issue then we xray.We haven't had xrays in years. :)

Hmm, never thought of that...I will ask to hold off on X-rays in the future! Thank you! I needed one this time cuz she thought she saw a problem but it wasn't bad enough to really do anything about it. Hmm. Maybe they are looking for $$!

I do the same thing at the vet.When I get a xray they put a lead vest on me.At the vet they don't put anything on my little yorkies.Its always exam first ;) Lots of dollars to be made in xrays.
