Ta I suggest you sit your family down and request that their diets change for the next three weeks and that all crabs are banned from the house...locked away safely. It's like trying t quit smoking while your spouse blows smoke in your face. Once you get through detox and your BS balances your cravings will stop and you'll be stronger when making carb loaded meals for your family.

Unlike other low carb programs and forums Fat to Skinny works because its a lifestyle change. We don't remove foods we replace them. Then their are no foods to add back in to gain the weight back .Cycle broken. If you choose to work hard and get your health back it should be important to you to stay healthy.Maintain.If you start eating high carb foods after losing your weight you will gain it back quickly. Knowledge is power.  ;)

Hello, Jo! :)

Doug is correct about this.

Our minds don't like to relive unpleasant or difficult experiences.
It's one of the reasons why addictions are so very hard to break.
Our minds do not like withdrawal symptoms, ESPECIALLY the 2nd, 3rd, etc. times around!

But the great news is, once you get past detox you will feel fantastic!
And you will be so happy (mentally and physically) that you stuck it out! ;D ;D ;D

You just need to hang on to get there again.
And we'll hang on with you right here, Hun! :) :) :)
Just take it one day at a time.... One hour at a time... One minute at a time!

Yup, that's why I failed...I added carbs back thinking I was safe...and BAM  (in m best Emeril voice) the fat PACKED back on. Everything everyone is saying is true. With my professional experience with addicts, I would see someone who had been clean from drugs for 7 months, someone would come over with crack and they would tell me, "I thought I was safe with just a hit" before you knew they were restarting the program all over again. It seems to be the same with sugar...never safe with carbs. Not to mention when you fall, its much harder to recover and you physically feel AWFUL...at least I do, it makes my stomach sick and I get backed up and all sorts of nasty stuff. We can do it together.
May you be blessed in all your endeavors, but most importantly, may you be humble. God keep you.

It used to be hard for me as far as the cravings went, because in the back breakfast room, on the table is nothing but breads cakes and pies, literally. It used to win me over with the cakes and pies, but, thankfully, I'm to the point to where I'm tired of the same 'ole same 'ole. Every week she buys this stuff, not my family, but everybody that comes over eats them, sis n law etc...I just sit back and watch. Something about once you make it past that first barrier, it's not so hard anymore. Can't believe how hooked I was on all that sugar!  ;D

Good for you, Stephanie!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sugar (i.e. carbs) is VERY addictive!
It works on us like drugs do with drug addicts.

But getting past sugar detox makes it so much easier to turn away from it.
I'm so happy that you have! :) :) :)

Oh Umpa! If you only knew the half of it   :'( I wish she would put out appitizers!
Thats why it used to be sooo hard for me because I used to be a sweet junkie!
She buys chocolate glazed donuts, sugar glazed donuts, Antoine of bread you
can think of. Now I look at those kinds of foods as disgusting, & she asks me
All the time are you sure you dont want any? Yep! Totally sure!
Is it just me or did we spend a whole lot of time "eating" junk
Food?! Holy crap! I never ever realized how much of my time was spent
Just eating. All because of one little ingredient,  "sugar!"

I have to laugh about the grannies thing lol :D
On a serious note from me,  I have to agree with Doug about making a decision and go cold turkey in stopping all carbs to enforce the commitment of destroying the addiction.

I'm so happy I stopped by tonight.  I've been having cravings and it makes me feel good to know I'm not alone.  I didn't fall off the wagon; had some pork rinds, so I powered through them.
